Duties:
- Use evaluation tools such as VB-MAPP, the motivation Assessment Scale (MAS), and Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales-III
- Conduct assessments to identify behavioral needs and develop individualized treatment plans for clients with developmental disabilities, particularly autism.
- Provide direct behavioral therapy services to clients, implementing evidence-based interventions and strategies.
- Collect and analyze data on client progress and behavior, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including parents, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals to ensure consistent implementation of treatment goals.
- Provide training and support to parents and caregivers on behavior management techniques and strategies.
- Train and stay current with research and best practices in the field of applied behavior analysis (ABA) and special education.
- Graph data, adjust strategies as needed to ensure progress summaries
Requirements:
- Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or Board-Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA).
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly autism.
- Proficient in conducting functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and developing behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
- Strong knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques.
- Excellent data collection and analysis skills.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with clients, families, and other professionals.
- Vehicle required to travel between assignments, and valid driver's license
