Bay City Downtown Development Authority Administrator- Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Work effectively with the Board of Directors to establish and implement the strategic priorities of each year.
- Act as a liaison between the City of Bay City, merchants and downtown organizations.
- Management of parking, including parking ambassadors, working with Park Mobile, IPS parking system and City of Bay City.
- Compile agendas and work collaboratively with the DDA chair to efficiently run the monthly board meetings.
- Partner with the Bay City Downtown Marketing Director to meet all goals set by the Downtown Management Board and Downtown Development Authority.
- Prepare, write, and administer grant applications as needed.
- Collaborate with community partners, including but not limited to city assessors’ office, merchants, and downtown organizations.
- Stay connected to future plans for local businesses in order to connect them with economic development and growth opportunities locally.
- Prepare an annual operating budget in conjunction with the City of Bay City fiscal services manager.
- Advocate for economic development projects that further the DDA’s goals.
- Serve as a Bay City downtown and economic development project advocate.
- Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES RECOMMENDED
- Proficiency in Microsoft PC applications.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Ability to work under little or no supervision.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and presentation skills
- Time management skills and problem-solving abilities.
EDUCATION
- High School diploma or GED
