Position Summary
Senior Scientist: This self-starting individual will have a good understanding of electrochemistry and the desire to use it in a business development context. The role will include coordination with internal technical development staff and partners to further refine and advance the company's cathode and electrolyte along with translating these materials to solutions to address customer needs. As the senior technical representative of the company, the Senior Scientist will also develop relationships with potential technical partners and collaborators, including government agency program managers and industry technical staff, regarding new programs and potential commercial relationships. This objective may be supplemented by attendance at industry conferences, presenting and/or publishing papers, and identification of opportunities and preparation of proposals for government funding programs.
Desired Experience/Duties:
- Ph.D. or equivalent in Battery-related Chemistry, Materials Science, Engineering, or a similarly relevant field.
- Experience in electrochemistry development and evaluation.
- Strong background in design, fabrication and testing of lithium or lithium-ion cells in a variety of formats (coin, pouch, prismatic, cylindrical).
- Prior battery business development experience
- Demonstrated experience with grant proposal preparation and report writing.
- Experience in project coordination and planning.
- Strong comfort level working in a collaborative team environment.
- Creative, self-driven thinker with an insatiable curiosity, a history of problem solving, and an ability to wear many hats.
Location/Compensation:
Central New Jersey. Compensation in accordance with experience.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50.00 - $65.00 per hour
