Salary Description: From $16.12 an hour
- Department: Ortho Hand Center
- Schedule: Full Time Days. Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm
- Facility: Ascension Sacred Heart Gulf Coast Ortho Specialist
- Location: Pensacola, FL
Due to the needs of this position, a Machine Operator certification is required from the state licensing board.
Perform general diagnostic radiographic examinations under the orders of a physician.
- Assist with x-ray and Basic Machine operation ensuring exams are technically satisfactory, properly positioned and processed adequately.
- Prepare patients for radiologic examinations and procedures protecting patient, self and other staff from radiation hazards.
- Take x-rays as requested by physician by selecting the proper ionizing factors, adjusting radiographic controls and positioning patients.
- Clean, maintain, and make minor adjustments to radiographic equipment, including determining repairs
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- Machine Operator credentialed from the Florida Radiologic Technology obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
