Barn Maintenance/Equine Care

Schedule: Sunday through Thursday | Full-Time | Day Shift

Pay: $16-$18 per hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Daily stall care - cleaning and disposing of soiled stall material, cleaning feed and water buckets, scrubbing and disinfecting stalls after patients depart
• Prepare stalls for incoming patients
• Ensure hay and bedding are available in stalls as instructed
• Keep all areas of the barn organized and tidy
• Dust and sweep stalls and aisles
• Walk horses
• Hold horses for procedures as needed
• Assist with farrier visits as needed
• Drag and maintain the arena as needed
• Fence and miscellaneous barn maintenance – repair broken fence boards, gates, etc as needed
• Mowing, weed eating, landscaping, pressure washing, painting
• Pick up trash on the grounds
• Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years horse handling experience
• 2 years basic carpentry experience
• Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds
• Must be able to withstand extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, rain, etc)
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Very strong work ethic
• Reliable transportation to commute to and from work
