Barista/Prep Cook

```Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Prep Cook to join our team. As a Prep Cook, you will play a vital role in assisting our kitchen staff in preparing delicious meals for our customers. If you have a passion for food and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

Duties:
- Assist in preparing ingredients for cooking, such as chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and measuring ingredients
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistent quality
- Prepare and assemble food items according to menu specifications
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and equipment
- Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations

Skills:
- Food handling: Knowledge of proper food handling techniques to ensure food safety
- Food service: Experience in a fast-paced food service environment
- Basic math: Ability to perform basic math calculations for recipe measurements and portion control
- Cash handling: Experience handling cash transactions and operating a cash register is a plus
- Food industry knowledge: Familiarity with food industry trends, ingredients, and cooking techniques
- Sales skills: Ability to upsell menu items and provide excellent customer service
- Food safety: Understanding of proper food storage, handling, and sanitation practices
- Helpfulness: Willingness to assist other team members as needed
- Aloha POS: Experience using Aloha POS system is preferred but not required
- Retail math: Basic understanding of retail math concepts for inventory management

Pay: $14.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
