Barback
A Barback is a support team for the bartender(s). Barbacks stocks, changing kegs, collecting empty glasses, ensuring there is plenty of clean glassware, maintaining the bar is clean, and swept.
Barbacks work directly with the bartenders on their shift, taking direction from the senior bartender.
Responsibilities:
- Stock, rotate coolers and maintain liquor room
- Consistently collect, wash, sanitize and restock all glass and barware
- Efficiently and continuously re-stock bartender serving stations with liquor, ice, fruit, straws and napkins throughout the shift
- Ensure that the inventory of beer, wine, spirits and mixers at the bar is well stocked
- Remove all dirty dishes and take them to the dish pit
- Change and remove all full garbage cans
- Wipe down and sweep around the bar to ensure the area is clean and tidy
- Perform any cleaning or maintenance duties assigned by the manager
- Ring up customers and open/close customer tabs
- Prepare and serve mixed drinks, cocktails and beer
- Assist the bartenders during rushes by serving drinks
- Fully knowledgeable on the recipes of the drinks served at the bar
