Barback - Life (Le Méridien)

Job Summary

We are looking for an observant, efficient Barback who can work well with other staff members to ensure our guests receive prompt, seamless service. To be a successful Barback, you should be passionate about working as a part of a team to deliver excellent drinks and food service to all who join us. You should be efficient, reliable, and perceptive with excellent communication and time management skills

Job Responsibilities

• Assist, support and work with all members of the bar team
• Daily set up and breakdown the bar
• The careful washing and polishing of all glassware
• Ensure consistent beverage preparation, presentation and quality
• Ensure order of bar and cleanliness in accordance to health and safety regulations
• Ensure that bar is stocked to par levels
• Assist and monitor daily prep necessary for the menu
• Understand the operational set up and principle of the bar
• Maintain thorough knowledge of menu
• Provide friendly, courteous and professional service at all times
• Must be available to work nights, late nights, weekends, and holidays

Skills & Requirements

• Experience as a Barback in a high-volume environment
• Possess a gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment
• Have a high level attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Bilingual is a plus
• Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments
• Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork
• Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance
• Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
• Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping

Work Authorization

Must be able to provide documentation that shows you are authorized to work in the United States. Must be twenty-one (21) years of age.
