Job description

The utility position is, above all, a service and hospitality position. The ideal candidate must have a personality for interacting with guests. Touching tables, clearing glassware and trash, as well as assisting with dish washing, stocking pastries, and restocking clean dishes are key aspects of the job.

The hours of employment are from 2pm - 10 pm, Wednesday - Sunday. Ideal candidates must have a strong attention to detail and must also be eager to see the guest experience maximized.

STANDARD JOB FUNCTIONS:

SERVICE

  • Engages with guests to ensure customer satisfaction as a primary job function
  • Corrects and addresses quality concerns
  • Notifies the manager on duty of any serious customer complaints
  • Actively looks for ways to anticipate and meet the needs of customers
  • Ensure that the dining room and guest contact areas are clean and organized and ready to receive guests
  • This is done at regular intervals as determined by the store manager
  • Ensures tables and chairs are properly aligned
  • Restocks condiments, dairy, non-dairy, and dry goods in the beverage area
  • Empties trash and resets trash areas as needed
  • Reports and issues with equipment to the manager on duty

QUALITY

  • Assists other team members with service needs, as directed by the manager on duty
  • When assisting with service, ensures any product given to guests is aesthetically pleasing and in accordance with established product standards prior to delivery

CLEANLINESS

  • Successfully completes required safety and sanitation training
  • ServSafe food handlers certification
  • Expandshare (Or store level training)
  • Participates in regular quarterly cleaning
  • Provides critical support for team production by washing, and storing bar dishes and utensils for daily production
  • 3 compartment sink (scrape, wash, rinse, sanitize, dry, store)
  • Bar machine ensuring proper chemical supply and operation (test strips present)
  • Ensures the dish area is clean and organized at the end of each shift (walls clean, sinks dry and clean, soiled towels in used towel bags, and proper storage of all racks, sani buckets, etc…)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
