Hiring Onsite Part Time or Full Time Bar Shift Lead / Bartender
The Roost Craft Beer and Cocktail Bar is looking to hire Lead Bartenders /Head Bartender to help run a small craft beer and cocktail bar.
Looking for the right candidate to join our team and help organize daily operations and motivate our staff to provide excellent customer service. The Lead Bartender responsibilities include maintaining a clean, organized, professional bar atmosphere and quality customer service. Looking for a candidate that has work experience with various roles in bars, restaurants and coffee shops. You should be available to work during afternoon hours, including weekends and holidays. Ultimately, you will help increase profitability, boost customer engagement and help maintain our bar as favorite local spots in the East Village.
Responsibilities
- Help Manage day-to-day Bar operations of the Bar
- Coordinate with vendors and order supplies, as needed.
- Maintain updated records of weekly inventory, schedules, health code requirements.
- Add new menu items into menu software, updating POS system and online menus as well as printed menus.
- Advise staff on the best ways to resolve issues with clients and deliver excellent customer service
- Ensure all bar and cafe areas are well organized, sanitary, clean and tidy and meet all health code and covid requirements at all times.
- Nurture friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty and continually boost reputation.
- Handle promotional onsite events organization with vendors or outside marketing teams.
- Ensure all bar systems and procedures are in place for successful operations daily and weekly.
- Train staff on all drink and food menu offerings and proper techniques to upsell.
Skills
- 2 year Work experience as a Lead bartender or bar manager.
- Hands-on experience serving beer, wine and cocktails.
- Good math skills
- Availability to work long hours on feet (including weekends and holidays)
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
- GREAT Customer service attitude
- Additional certification: NYC food Handlers and or TIPS Certified
- Must have a deep love and passion for customer service
- Looking for completely reliable applicants, available to work a minimum 5-6 days per week or about 25-45 hours.
- Willing to work afternoons and nights but schedule is flexible. Busiest days are Thursday through Saturday
- Must love working in a bar/cafe environment and be upbeat, fast paced, cheerful, neatly kept, organized and good with customers.
