Responsibilities:
- Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including tables, chairs, linens, and decorations
- Arrange and organize furniture and equipment for optimal use of space
- Ensure proper placement of table settings, glassware, and silverware
- Assist with food preparation and plating as needed
- Provide excellent customer service to guests, responding to their needs and requests promptly and courteously
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet areas before, during, and after events
- Assist with bussing tables and clearing dishes during events
- Follow all food safety guidelines and procedures
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a hotel or catering setting preferred
- Knowledge of banquet set-up procedures and techniques
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure
- Basic knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
- Must be able to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for long periods of time
