Job Summary
A Banquet Server is a guest focused and friendly individual responsible for serving food and beverages to guests at catering events. Their duties include greeting guests, taking their orders, bringing them the correct dishes and refilling their beverages as needed. The ideal candidate is courteous, professional, and works well in a team. Prior Banquet Server experience preferred but not required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures that the Event Space is properly set up prior to and after the service period; keeps area clean and neat while meeting established sanitation standards.
Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room, takes food and beverages in an efficient manner, follows established steps of service, and delivers food professionally. Consistently follows up to assist guests with any additional needs or requests.
Promotes a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests while following safety and sanitation policy and procedures at all times. Maintains a clean catering facility and keeps equipment stocked and maintained.
Exhibits exceptional communications skills and demonstrates ability to get along well with others. Remains flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff.
