The Promontory Club is looking to fulfill a vacancy for a Food and Beverage Banquet Server
The main functions of the Banquet Server are to meet the Member’s needs in a friendly and professional manner that is consistent with the highest standards of Promontory Club restaurants.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Owning the full cycle of set up, execution and break down of private member events and golf tournaments as specified on BEO’s; or as given by banquet management staff.
- Provide proper care, transportation and storage of all banquet equipment and furniture.
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs. Able to multi-task and be a team player.
- Must have a flexible schedule and be willing/able to work evenings, weekends & holidays.
- Work independently and collaboratively, be punctual and well groomed. Uniforms are provided.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service-oriented attitude is essential for this position.
- Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries and unsafe work practices to management; complete safety training and certifications.
- Other duties as assigned or as required to ensure the guest has a positive and satisfactory dining experience, complete assigned side work prior to starting or ending a shift.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS AND CERTIFICATIONS: High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required, college experience preferred. Must have or be able to acquire a State of Utah Food Handler's Certification and Sips & Tips Certification within two weeks of employment. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must have a valid driver’s license.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 1 year of experience preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force regularly.
Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Wages will be commensurate with experience upon employment plus tip share.
