Banquet Captain
Duties:
- Oversee and coordinate all aspects of banquet events, ensuring smooth operations and exceptional guest experience
- Lead and supervise banquet staff, including servers, bartenders, and support staff
- Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including table arrangements, decorations, and audiovisual equipment
- Manage the flow of service during events, ensuring timely delivery of food and beverages to guests
- Address any guest concerns or issues promptly and professionally
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient food preparation and presentation
- Assist with menu planning and development for banquet events
- Maintain inventory of banquet supplies and equipment
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a leadership role in the food service industry
- Strong knowledge of banquet operations and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in food service management software and POS systems
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and menu planning
- Ability to train, mentor, and motivate a team
- Experience in interviewing and hiring banquet staff
