Responsibilities:
- Oversee banquet events and ensure smooth operations
- Coordinate with the event planner to understand the event requirements
- Set up banquet rooms according to the event specifications
- Supervise and train banquet staff, ensuring they provide excellent customer service
- Manage the flow of events, including timing of food service and speeches
- Ensure that all food and beverages are served promptly and in accordance with quality standards
- Address any customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally
- Maintain a clean and organized banquet area throughout the event
- Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure food quality and presentation meet expectations
- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience in the food industry or food service is required
- Strong knowledge of coffee service and preparation techniques is preferred
- Excellent team management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team effectively
- Experience working in a hotel or hospitality setting is highly desirable
- Familiarity with CI-TY and POS system is a plus
- Ability to supervise multiple events simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations calmly and professionally
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the event schedule
- Culinary background or knowledge is an asset
