Bankruptcy Specialist

We are seeking to hire a full-time Bankruptcy Specialist. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written communication skills with a strong work ethic and heavy attention to detail.

SUMMARY: The Bankruptcy Specialist (“Specialist”), is responsible for the reviewing and preparation of Bankruptcy documents on behalf of the firm’s clients. The Specialist will also ensure systems are updated, statuses are communicated, and documents are prepared and filed within required timeframes. The Specialist will also provide additional support to the firm’s Attorney and Paralegal Staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage case files and update various client systems along with the firm’s tracking system.
• Open files within the firm’s tracking system and download all corresponding documents from client systems and PACER.
• Prepare and file Motions and Notices as needed.
• Diligently follow up on all outstanding communications, written or verbal, internal and external.
• Review referrals for all necessary information and documents according to client/court/judge requirements in order to proceed with the file.
• Request and follow-up on any missing information or documents necessary to proceed with the file.
• Provide support to paralegals, management, and attorneys.
• Assist with other duties as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associates Degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two year college or university or one two years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Prefer minimum 2 years of experience in a law firm
• Bankruptcy or Mortgage Servicer experience preferred but not required
• Computer skills required: Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Black Knight, Equator, LPS, Vendorscape, Tempo, Westlaw, PACER and ECF

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
