POSITION TITLE:

Bank Operations Trainee

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Engage with customers and teammates in the Bank Operations department in helping set controls, assisting with wire transfers and ACH products and services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Particpate in hands-on training, review and learn operational proceedures including Wire Processing, Daily Exception Items: Non-Post, NSF Processing, Outgoing Returns, Chargebacks, Adjustments, Encoding Errors, Dormant and Inactive Account Review.
  • Process ATM/Debit Card Reg E dispute requests, ACH, IP and Exposure monitoring, Mobile Deposit Verification.
  • Help Monitor BSA Reports and Alerts, Currency Transaction Reports
  • Work with internal computer systems to Track accounts for Reg D violations, Stop Payment Verification
  • Understand and comply with all requirements, laws and regulations applicable to position.
  • Participate in projects related to payments initiatives of the bank.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned depending on experience.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a bank or credit union in payments, or other back-office operations.
  • Demonstrated competence in resolution of operational issues.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 4-year University Degree desired.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills,
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Detail oriented along with excellent organizational, problem solving, follow-up, and excellent Customer Service Skills.
  • Strives to continuously Build Knowledge and Skills.
