Description: Job Title: Bank Manager Department: Operations, Wheaton Reports To: SVP, COO FLSA Status: Exempt Type of Position: Full-Time Job Summary The position's primary role is to be responsible for building and maintaining an engaged, high- performing, operationally compliant, and regulatory sound team. The Bank manager will be the driver of achieving profitable relationships with commercial businesses and high-net-worth individuals. They will ensure the bank location delivers competitive TrustBank products and services that meet these customers' ever-changing needs.

In addition, the Bank Manager will be expected to develop relationships with individual business owners and centers of influence in the respective market footprint they serve. The Bank manager must be able to assume any bank task in the event a staff member is unavailable, or have a contingency plan to meet unforeseen circumstances. The position requires a person that is individually driven, team oriented, and thrives on delivering highly personalized customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities Leads a well-trained team to acquire, retain, and expand new and existing relationships. Oversees all business transactions and practices within span of control, ensuring compliance with all regulations, bank policies, procedures, internal audit and risk management requirements. Conducts proactive outside sales efforts commensurate with market opportunities which may often require meeting over the phone, by video, in the bank, and at the client/target's place of business to uncover specific financial service needs and provide product recommendations.

Act as the principal relationship manager for new and existing clients with the goal of introducing TrustBank partners in implementing our Team approach when complex financial goals or needs are recognized. . Actively supports commercial banking officers as it relates to lending and deposit relationships, with emphasis on the total banking relationship.

This includes joint calls with lenders as needed. Supports growth by facilitating commercial lending opportunities and deposit growth with sale of traditional banking products and commercial cash management services. Provide insight on potential loan opportunities by monitoring local market trends, information put forth by municipalities, and local market news.

Help support lenders by collecting and passing along timely financial data and loan documents to assist the loan process. Educates associates, customers, and surrounding community about best practices to achieve and maintain financial wellness in addition to emerging bank technology and digital solutions such as mobile, online and at-large ATM offerings. Assists as needed with resolving problem accounts.

Understand and navigate applicable regulations and compliance requirements. Take an active, visible role in the respective community by participating in local business, civic and charitable organizations. Hires, trains, coaches, and develops staff while using overall leadership practices to influence results in the applicable market.

Implements performance management, recognition, and disciplinary actions. Ensures bank security is ever-present to ensure safety of employees and customers. Serves on various bank committees.

Coordinates with TrustBank's executive team a comprehensive strategic business development plan. Track and understand overall bank financial performance. Insure that every employee within their Bank represents the vision and mission of TrustBank while setting the tone for the culture within their location.

Traits/Characteristics of Successful Bank Manager Proven leadership abilities within the financial services industry Effective problem-solving and decision making skills Excellent probing and listening skills to uncover customer needs Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Self motivated, assertive, perform well in a results-oriented sales environment and interact with customer and team members in a professional and personable manner, and perform well in potentially stressful situations requiring tact, diplomacy, integrity, and confidentiality Strong presentation, planning, organization, time management, and follow-up skills Prior experience in establishing and meeting specific sales goals and objectives Presents him/herself in a professional manner Working Conditions and Essential Functions This is a full-time exempt position, working a minimum of 40-hours per week and longer may be warranted to meet the demands of the job or other duties as assigned. Hours will vary depending on the needs of the bank.

Well-lit office environment and the noise level is usually moderate. The role routinely uses standard office equipment. The duties of the job may require the employee to stand, walk, use hands, and feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands, arms, and talk, or hear.

Ability to lift 25-pounds. Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus. Travel 10%.

Updated April 24, 2023 Requirements: Education and/or Experience Minimum five years prior sales or business development experience required in a Bank Manager, or equivalent financial services experience Job experience with extensive customer contact, including building & maintaining customer relationships Prior supervisory or management experience Some lending experience preferred Bachelor's degree in business or a related field preferred PC and Internet proficiency Required Skills and Abilities Ability to exhibit mastery of key advice, guidance, regulation, and education concepts. Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, employees, and customers. Understanding of basic accounting concepts and business financial statements.

Required to maintain an active NMLS license by completing all training and annual renewal requirements as required. Ability to complete ongoing regulatory and compliance training. PI212950996
