SalaryPOSITION SUMMARY:
This is a contract position for 3-6 months. This is a repetitive motion position, extracting bullets from shell casings up to 1000 per day. Exposure to loud noises. Opportunity to go full-time is a potential. Perform tests and/or measurement tasks for the Ballistics department. Ballistics: Testing of energetic and inert projectiles, typically bullets, missiles and bombs.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Test Setup - Read specifications from technical documents (Test Standards, Customer SOWs, and Test Plans/Procedures), identify/prepare test equipment
- Perform Testing - Monitor tests per specifications, interact with customers if needed, troubleshoot, and document all pertinent data
- Data Processing - After test completion, verify, review and document all pertinent data. Finalize data and send to the Program Manager
- Lab Maintenance / Post-Test Breakdown - Physically remove test items. Maintain lab by cleaning all equipment, keeping calibrated instruments current, & organizing supplies
- Other - Perform other duties as assigned
CORE REQUIREMENTS:
- Under close supervision; completes basic technical and mechanical procedures, interacts with clients as needed, assists with basic troubleshooting, interpretation, and analysis of test results
- Basic knowledge of Ballistics & Mechanical principles, working knowledge of basic safety practices
- Basic MS Office Skills
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- HS Diploma or GED
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Test lab with exposure to sudden, loud noises
- Repetitive work
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
