Pavlov seeks a Dog Trainer to train dogs within the comfort of his or her home. As a Balanced Dog Trainer, you'll train dogs enrolled in obedience programs, as well as coach and mentor their families. Trainers email updates twice weekly to family members so they may get a sense of their pup's progress. Each program follows 3-5 handover lessons. This position includes animal care, including feeding, cleaning, tending to the facility, taking dogs to the vet, tending to social media, and any and all duties associated with working board-and-train clients.  This position may include teaching Puppy Preschool.  Applicants must offer an average of 20 days of availability each month.  The onboarding process involves an internship in Denver. This position reports to the Dog Training Manager.

REQUIREMENTS

* 1 Year of verifiable full-time employment as a Balanced Dog Trainer.

* Familiar with concepts of traditional & contemporary training.

* Skilled and comfortable using prong collars, remote electronic collars, and a handful of other training collars. Comfortable with food rewards.

* Able to email videos of dogs you've trained. (You'll need to share content of dogs you have personally trained heeling on-leash and off-leash in busy public spaces outside of food drive.)

* Secure + safe home and enclosed yard to board dogs.  There should be a presentable space to serve as your lobby (usually your living room)

* Reliable transportation.

* Professional communication skills (strong written, verbal, and physical presentation skills)

* Ability to work independently.

* Self-motivated

* Strong sense of integrity.

* The ability to follow rules and take coaching.

COMPENSATION

$4000 a month part-time independent contractor. 

$5,800.00 - $9,200.00 per month as a full-time independent contractor.  Presently, part-time is available. Eventually, this will expand into a full-time position.
