The Bakery Technologist – Quality and Manufacturing uses frequent and independent judgment to audit bakery partners to meet standards and perform in a beneficial relationship with Five Guys. This position has the exclusive responsibility to resolve complaints and make the determination for the appropriate remediation for product and process improvement.
- Establishes beneficial relationships with our bakery partners.
- Perform quality control audits and makes decisions to resolve based on findings.
- Frequently visits bakeries independently to insure company requirements are met.
- Makes independent decisions that have significant financial impact based on quality and process adjustments as needed.
- Utilizes customer/store complaint data to identify root causes of problems then communicate and provide support to implement process/product improvements.
- Responsible for following and promoting all company policies.
- Provide product expertise and strong technical support to bakeries and Five Guys Restaurants.
- Independently manage and support bakeries to optimize product quality and efficiencies.
- Fully responsible for performance of assigned bakeries.
- Operational Knowledge and Expertise - Demonstrates ability to gain, demonstrate and coach in-depth operational knowledge of Five Guys Restaurant Operations

- Strong time management skills, ability to work independently, effectively manages bakeries.
- Strong Baking Knowledge and Expertise – Experience with automated bakery manufacturing. Excellent knowledge of SQF, AIB, GMP’s, HACCP, GFSI, and Pest Control.
