Full Job Description –

We are a small business and looking for someone who is enthusiastic about everything with baking! No job is too small or too big.

We are looking to fill a baker-decorator position at our state-of-the-art baking facility in Natick! We need hands on commercial baking experience, but will train a motivated candidate. In this role you will bake, prep, and decorate cupcakes, cakes, gourmet cookies, decorated cookies, cake pops etc. for guest pre-orders and take out orders.

Baker Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow existing recipes, measure, weigh, and prepare ingredients.
• Prep and bake cakes, cupcakes and cookies. Fill, frost and decorate.
• Cake assembly with slicing and crumb coats
• Complete production projects such as making caramel, ganache, and glazes
• Neatly execute decorating of cakes, cupcakes, macarons, etc.
• Monitor oven temperatures, speed settings, mixing machines, and other baking equipment.
• Ensure food surfaces and baking equipment meet all health and safety standards.
• Clean and maintain baking equipment, utensils, and tools.
• 8-hour shifts, but we don't leave until the job is done. You may occasionally be required to work weekends and evenings.
• Evaluate ingredients and food for quality.
• Order and receive supplies and materials.
• Order packaging and Labeling.

Baker Requirements and Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.
• Previous commercial/specialty baking experience and or professional schooling/certification preferred.
• Good communication skills. Possess a strong work ethic, be well-organized and positive
• Day shift, but occasionally may require a weekend day.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
• Physical endurance to stand for most of shift.
• Self-motivated and self-directed.
• Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks.
• Physically able to move during the length of shift; able to bend and kneel through shift; able to lift up to 25 pounds or more.
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures, and state health and safety precautions and regulations.
• 45 day review period.
• Pay to commensurate with experience/skill.
• Job Type: Full-time or Part-time
• Starting pay $17/hour

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Salary: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
