Bakehouse Holiday Bread Packer

Zingerman's Bakehouse is hiring for a seasonal Bread Packer! We are looking for someone to join our bread packing team during our 2023 holiday season. (Now through December 23rd, 2023) This job has the potential to become a full time position post holiday.

What does the job pay?

This seasonal holiday positions pay $15.50 per hour

Availability:

• Full time, 35-40 hours per week. This is a 5 day per week position with 8 hour shifts.
• Weekend and Holiday availability required
• Full availability in November and December (we don't take any extra time off during these months)
• Additionally, you should be flexible and willing to help fill in for our on-call and scheduling needs

Performance Expectations - Essential Functions:

• Accurately sorts baked goods for wholesale customer orders
• Perform double check on all orders
• Handles all our products with love and care
• Safely operates rack washing machine (training provided)
• Safely operates bread slicers (training provided)
• Must be able to use a hand truck safely (training provided)
• Works with a sense of urgency
• Can work in a collaborative team environment

Physical Demands:

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly during an 8 hour shift
• Standing, lifting and bending for duration of an 8 hour shift
• Repetitive motion

Zingerman's Bakehouse is a wholesale bakery, retail shop, and baking school for home bakers. We sell to specialty food stores, cafes and restaurants in southeastern Michigan as well as selling to Zingerman's Mail Order, who ships our baked goods everywhere in the United States. We are real artisan bakers, meaning we use traditional methods and flavorful ingredients to make our food.

Zingerman's Bakehouse is located on the south side of Ann Arbor at 3711 Plaza Drive. While there is a bus stop within walking distance, the Bakehouse is NOT located directly on AATA bus route.
