Backhoe Operator/Dump Truck Driver

Position Summary:
We are looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator/CDL Class A Driver (Backhoe/Dump truck experience required) to join our growing and award winning team. This position will require the candidate to haul a trailer behind a dump truck and operate a backhoe in various job sites throughout Southern California.

Classification: Non-Exempt (Hourly)

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

• Must be able to efficiently and safely operate equipment such as a Backhoe, and Dump Truck.
• Ability to haul a trailer behind a dump truck.
• Safely operate and maneuver CDL Class A dump trucks to transport materials to and from job sites.
• Load, unload, and secure materials onto the truck bed efficiently and safely.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles and equipment to ensure functionality and safety.
• Maintain proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment.
• Follow direction of the Superintendent with regards to daily production schedule and activities.

Qualifications:

• Valid CDL Class A driver's license with a clean driving record.
• 3 plus years experience.
• Considerable skill in manipulating the equipment and constant attention to safety of operation, in order to prevent accidents.
• Ability to lift heavy objects.
• Walk/Stand for long periods of time.
• Perform strenuous physical labor in outdoor elements.
• Must be able to work weekends and/or overtime when needed.
• Must pass pre-employment drug test/physical/background check

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
