Position Description

The Backend Web Developer is responsible for the server side of our web applications using programming skills to develop applications, or improving existing ones to maintain functional and stable web applications to meet the company’s needs. The Backend Web Developer will work closely with our QA, Engineering, and Product Management teams to ensure system consistency and improve user experience.

Primary Responsibilities

• Apply SOLID principles to write scalable and performant code in C# and T-SQL
• Integrate our custom platform with various third-party tools
• Use Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, and Git to manage code and work items
• Work in an agile environment with cross-functional teams
• Deliver well-tested and robust solutions
• Deploy various types of applications
• Provide on-call support for all of our production deployments

Requirements

• 4+ years of industry experience developing large-scale web-deployed applications
• Fluent in C# and T-SQL
• Experience with Visual Studio, DevOps and Git
• Experience with .NET Core and above.
• Solid understanding of algorithms and object-oriented design
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving
• Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills
• Excellent communication skills

Ideal Qualifications

• Experience with Azure or other cloud-based deployment models
• Experience writing unit tests
• Experience with Event-Driven Architecture
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• BS or MS in Computer Science or related field
