Job Description:

We are seeking a talented Elixir Phoenix Backend Software Developer to join our team. As a member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust backend systems using Elixir, Phoenix framework, PostgreSQL, and Oban. You will collaborate closely with frontend developers, QA engineers, and product managers to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable, high-performance backend systems using Elixir and Phoenix framework.
• Integrate PostgreSQL databases into backend applications, including schema design, query optimization, and data modeling.
• Integrate
• Write clean, maintainable, efficient, thoroughly tested , and documented code.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Identify and address performance bottlenecks.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices.

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in Elixir programming language.
• Experience with Phoenix framework.
• Solid understanding of OTP principles and concepts.
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL, including schema design, query optimization, and data modeling.
• Integrate with machine learning pipelines and AI driven solutions.
• Implement APIs with well-defined specifications and websockets using Phoenix channels.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Nice to have:

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes and infrastructure as code.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture.
• Experience with Python
• Experience working with ML/AI
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with background job processing and scheduling using Oban or similar libraries.
• Knowledge of frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Pacific Time Zone work hours are strongly preferred

Pay: $115,000.00 - $145,000.00 per year
