Cooks are responsible for preparing ingredients and assembling dishes according to restaurant recipes and specifications.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Setting up and stocking station with all necessary supplies
- Preparing for food service
- Cooking menu items in cooperation with the kitchen team
- Keep station clean, organized and efficient
- Rotate inventory correctly, and ensure that all nutrition and sanitation standards are followed
The Cook position is a pivotal role for the kitchen department. It is a requirement to be proactive, and driven to enable the kitchen to run smoothly and efficiently.
Skills Required
The applicant should have
- 2+ years experience in a direct titled line cook role
- Excellent time management
- A proactive attitude
- Ability to work in a large team is necessary
- Experience in food safety, and sanitation rules
- Ability to push/pull/lift of 20+ pounds
