Position

We are looking for reliable and self-motivated individuals who enjoy food service and customer service in a fast-paced environment. We are currently hiring a Back of House (BOH) Team Member.

Job Summary

A Rusty TacoTeam Member takes great pride in preparing and serving our food. They know

that in order to do this right, they need a clean and organized work area. By consistently following the proper recipes and procedures and adhering to Rusty Taco’s high standards regarding food preparation, cleaning and sanitation, teamwork and customer service, they help to ensure that our customer experience is always the best it can be.

Responsibilities

• Following recipes accurately and maintaining food preparation processes such as cooking, seasoning, and grilling foods; dicing, cutting, and slicing vegetables and other prep ingredients.
• Completing hot and cold food preparation assignments accurately, neatly, and in a timely fashion.
• Preparing food throughout the day as needed, anticipating, and reacting to customer volumes.
• Maintaining appropriate portion control and consistently monitoring food levels on the line and Back of House
• Maintaining proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards while preparing and cooking food.
• Consistently and accurately using prep sheets, temperature guidelines, holding times, cleanliness list, and station checklists.
• Following Rusty Taco sanitation standards including washing cookware and utensils throughout the day.
• Cleaning equipment, as assigned, thoroughly and in a timely fashion.

Position Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in restaurant kitchen experience.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 25 lbs. and perform essential job functions such as standing, bending, reaching, gripping, climbing on a ladder, and walking long distances.
• Standing for long periods and the ability to work in an environment with varying temperatures.
• Can speak clearly and listen attentively to customers and other Team Members.
• Can always maintain a professional appearance and display a positive and enthusiastic approach to all assigned work duties.
• Be able to exhibit a cheerful and helpful attitude and provide exceptional customer service.
• Be able to adapt to changing customer volume levels with a sense of urgency.
• Can demonstrate a complete understanding of the menu.
• Be able to follow instructions for recipes and sanitation guidelines.
• Can be cross trained in all areas in the Back of House.
• Follow all food and safety guidelines

• The Team Member may be asked to assist other local Rusty Taco locations as needed.
• Reliable transportation is necessary

Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
