Back End Applications Developer

T-Rex Solutions is seeking a qualified Back End Applications Developer to support a new initiative with the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to modernize legacy software and applications that provide immigration status, criminal history, and real-tie assistance to federal, state, local and tribal law enforcement that require assistance with carrying out their missions. This is an agile software development and support services program supporting mission-critical work for DHS.

The Back End Applications Developer will have overall responsibility for Back End application coding design and standards.

Requirements:

• Eight (8) or more years of relevant experience in an Enterprise IT environment
• AWS Developer Associate certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months
• Experience implementing the MVC Development Methodology (Model/View/Controller)
• Experience with developing and managing data models with Liquibase
• Experience designing and developing solutions with Springboot and Java in an Agile Software Development environment
• Experience designing and developing Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) with Representation State Transfer (REST), Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP), and JavaScript Object Notation (JSON)
• Technical proficiency with developing database queries, batch jobs, and stored procedures with PL/SQL and NoSQL
• Experience developing solutions using AWS Simple Messaging Service/Simple Queue Service (SMS/SQS)
• Experience developing applications with responsive web design frameworks to support multiple platforms including compatibility with Chrome and Edge
• Experience with all aspects of configuration management planning including configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, configuration audits, configuration documentation

Desired Skills:

• Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Information Technology or a related field

In compliance with pay transparency guidelines, the annual base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $175,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. T-Rex considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
