Client First Technologies is currently seeking a forward-thinking Azure Database Engineer who will work with a team to build a set of SQL-based solutions deployed to multiple Azure environments. A successful candidate will leverage their skills with T-SQL, Azure SQL, command-line tools, and Azure infrastructure to create a sustainable framework for continuous integration and continuous deployment.

Responsibilities
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Azure Database services, such as Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse/Databricks.
- Developing build and release scripts for SQL solutions using a state-based or migration-based approach.
- Utilizing DACPAC, ARM templates and/or Bicep files to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
- Integrating security practices into the CI/CD pipelines, ensuring access to resources apply the principle of least privilege.
- Configuring backup and recovery procedures.
- Documenting build and deployment processes and policies in markdown files.
- Communicating with the CFT team and client leadership about development tasks.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of professional IT experience performing tasks directly related to Azure SQL
- Proficient with SQL Package, sqlcmd, and/or mssql-cli command-line utilities
- Proficient with Microsoft T-SQL
- Relevant certifications from Microsoft are highly preferred
- Experience with PowerShell is highly preferred
- Must be able to work quickly with a high degree of accuracy with cross-functional teams
- Professional verbal and written communication skills
Physical Demands
- Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time
- Occasional travel and overtime may be required
Required Clearance
- The ability to successfully satisfy a Government Tier 2/Moderate Risk Background (or equivalent – e.g., DoD Tier 3/Secret).

Pay: $120,253.80 - $135,000.00 per year
