Description:
Our client is looking for a Azure Data Analyst to join their team supporting the Centers for Disease Control. The qualified applicant should have strong experience with MS SQL and worked through ETL processes on a cloud platform. They will need to work closely with the Azure Data Engineer and Azure Data Architect on the team to help in optimizing and enhancing new and existing data processes and modeling. Role and Responsibilities:• Document data business specifications/requirements, QA/QC requirements, data governance requirements and establish thorough specifications; documenting data retention policies and requirements.• PrBuild logical models and document naming conventions and modeling standards; Ensure standards are accurately implemented and adhered to • Ensure proper documentation for all back-end processes used to load client and distributor data into production databases• Collaborate with Customer, PM, Data Engineer and Data Manager to set up QA/QC processes as part of the MS Azure Data Factory based data pipeline• Work on and across multiple projects to ensure consistency in data standards and data conventions and promote sharing and reuse of data across applications• Onboard partners, analytics team members, and others on Analytics Platform by creating and applying the onboarding checklists, needed governance polices and accounts• Collaborate with Data Manager/DBA on ETL/ELT of data as part of data ingestion and preparation processes and ensure data quality to prepare datasets for computation into common data store on Azure SQL DB• Prepare test plans, create test cases and be responsible for executing the test cases• Perform QA in creation of test scripts and T-SQL queries that are used in evaluating the results• Create interactive reports using Power BI/Tableau to present data quality dimensions of completeness, accuracy, and validityBasic Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or related fields with a minimum of 3 years’ experience• 1-2 years’ experience as a Data Analyst/Quality Analyst• 1-2 years’ exposure to ETL/ELT processes, preferably on cloud platform• 1-2 years’ experience in implementing logical/physical data models of different schemas and working with diverse data source types• Hands on experience with MS SQL Server; Experience in using T-SQL• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:•Microsoft Certified Azure Data Analyst Associate/Azure Data Fundamentals• Experience with cloud platform, preferably Azure (Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Python, Azure Synapse, Azure Key Vault and Power BI)• Hands-on experience with HL7v2 and ELR data• Knowledge of data insights and visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau• Experience using source control and DevOps tools (such as, Git/Bitbucket, Atlassian Confluence, Jira)• Experience developing and supporting Python based AI/ML solutions.• Prior CDC and Public Health experience
