Overview
The Technology for Social Impact (TSI) Team is chartered with the mission of bringing the power of technology to every non-profit and humanitarian organization to accelerate Social Good. This organization will bring together our donation and grants programs, industry solutions, commercial sales efforts and partner ecosystems to empower non-profits globally to address the world's most pressing needs. Profits generated from this business will be reapplied to scaling operations and investments for Microsoft's public good investments. This is a dynamic and fast-growing business focused on helping organizations on the front line of change to do their best work to create inclusive and enduring positive impact throughout our communities.
This team acts as trusted advisors and Analytics, Data & AI (Artificial Intelligence) subject matter experts with core capability and expertise in Data Modernization, Analytics and AI. We work with customers to leverage data to help them achieve their business priorities and help guide customer's journey through Analytics-led Azure Data transformation. We also support customers in evaluating their applications and business requirements, recommend solutions that meet their requirements, and demonstrate these solutions to win the technical decision.
As an Azure Data & AI Sales Specialist, you will be a solution sales expert within TSI working large, strategic nonprofits. You will collaborate with a team of technical, partner, and consulting resources to advance the sales process and exceed quarterly Data & AI revenue targets in your assigned accounts.

Responsibilities
  • Sales Execution- Engages in conversation with customers aligned to their industry and collaborates with account and partner team to drive and qualify new opportunities and build pipeline. Identifies customer business and technology readiness, proactively builds external stakeholders' mapping, implements strategies to accelerate the closing of deals, contributes input on strategies to drive and close prioritized opportunities, coaches team members in deal plan execution, and implements close plans.

  • Scaling and Collaboration- Collaborates with Global Partner Solutions (GPS), identifies new partners, develops joint proposals with partners, and contributes to developing partner strategies. Applies role orchestration model and navigates the Microsoft organization to bring the best impact to the customer.

  • Technical Expertise- Leads conversations and sets up events within Microsoft, mentors others and develops strategies for best practice sharing, initiates conversations with prospective customers/partners at events, acts as a subject matter expert in one or more solution area(s). Collaborates with the 'compete' global black belts (GBB) to analyze competitor products, solutions, and/or services and implement strategies.

  • Delivers Results Through Teamwork- Drives the execution of projects, partners and collaborates with other teams on related deliverables, and leverages others in relevant work streams.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years technology-related sales or account management experience
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field AND 4+ years technology-related sales or account management experience.
  • 5+ years prior work experience in a Consulting/Solutions Sales position working with Data solutions ranging from structured/relational to semi/non structured data such as: Cloud-based Data Warehouse, Databricks, Hadoop, Spark, Data Lake, SQL solutions required MySQL, PostreSQL, NoSQL (Mongo), PowerBI and/or Machine Learning solutions.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications :
  • 5+ years experience selling business solutions to large/global enterprise customers with a focus on data platform and Analytics & AI technologies
  • DP-900 Azure Data Fundamentals certification
  • AI-900 Azure AI Fundamentals certification
  • Certificate or Degree in Data Science and/or Machine Learning

Solution Area Specialists IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $102,300 - $180,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $140,900 - $199,000 per year.
