The Opportunity:
DevOps engineering requires a specific mix of development, engineering, and communication skills. As a DevOps engineer, you know that these skills create efficiency and effectiveness—so you can quickly deliver the best solutions for clients. We’re looking for a DevOps engineer like you to help develop critical tools—and get them into the hands of those who need them most.
As a DevOps engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll help streamline the software development lifecycle, from requirements to monitoring in production. You’ll incorporate open-source tools, automation, and cloud resources to cut down on tedious tasks and free up the team’s developers to do what they do best—create. You’ll work with the team to implement continuous integration and delivery to limit manual testing and troubleshooting. This is an opportunity to sharpen your skills in the latest automation, infrastructure, and cloud-based development while developing software that will make mission-forward impact.

You Have:
4+ years of experience with system design and evaluation, solution engineering, software development, or system administration
Experience with Cloud platforms, including Azure
Knowledge of advanced scripting languages, including PowerShell
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and the software development life cycle (SDLC)
Ability to configure and utilize DevOps bundled tools, including Atlassian or GitLab
Ability to work non-standard hours, including shift work on a rotational basis
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
HS diploma or GED
Nice If You Have:
Experience with container technologies, including Kubernetes
Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) or end state management technologies
Experience as a Scrum Master
Experience setting up ADFS, Azure Entra, or SSO
Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment
Bachelor's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $73,100.00 to $166,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
