Mechanical Inspector Requirements:
Job Type: 1099 Contract
Work location: Dyess Air Force Base, Abilene, TX
Ability to commute/relocate: Abilene, TX
- Have AWS (American Welding Society) QC1 qualification / certification.
- One year experience inspecting SS (stainless steel) and CS (carbon steel)
- Five years' experience in military or commercial aircraft hydrant fueling systems or truck fueling systems, petroleum refineries, power generating plants, or chemical process plants.
- Ability to prepare and submit polished electronic reports in a timely manner, including digital photos.
- Ability to maintain a positive, professional disposition when adapting to occasional disruptions and unexpected events.
- Conducts technical sort and/or rework as necessary for client requirements.
- Essentially an observe and report visit.
- Inspection duties include, but are not limited to visual (workmanship) evaluation, functional testing as applicable (measurements, assembly, etc.), packaging & labeling verification, etc.
- Provides timely, detailed reports and photographic evidence of product, packaging, labeling, defects noted, etc.
