Titan Technologies, LLC (Titan) is seeking an experienced, self-directed, Audio Visual/Video Teleconferencing (AV/VTC) Room System Design Engineers to support the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) III contract. As a member of our team, you will help to assist USSOCOM, Service Component Commands, Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOC), and deployed forces in the delivery of a full spectrum of Information Technology (IT) services to operate and maintain information flow, communications, and connectivity globally.
The A/V and VTC Room System Design Engineer shall design and support complex, integrated conference room A/V and VTC systems, assist in the ongoing support and maintenance of existing conference room A/V and VTC systems throughout the enterprise, provide technical support and assistance for associated conference room A/V and VTC incident reports and problems, and work with other technology teams to address integrated conference room A/V and VTC challenges. The Room System Design Engineers must be well versed in the control and integration of multi-room A/V and VTC systems. The Room System Design Engineer shall perform initial installation, connection, configuration, and adjustment as necessary, including operational assistance (i.e., via A/V personnel on-site at the user’s location) for conducting VTCs.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Scheduling, coordinating, and administering multiple simultaneous VTC
- Providing dedicated support to VTCs attended by Very Important Persons (VIPs), including setup, real time monitoring, troubleshooting, and tear down.
- Installing, configuring, managing, maintaining, operating, and defending common area VTC equipment, including day-to-day setup, scheduling, and monitoring of common area VTC equipment that are fixed conference room based VTCs, desktop VTC suites, portable VTC suites, and associated VTC equipment.
- Recommending upgrades to VTC systems (annually, at least) and incorporate approved upgrades when acquired.
- Providing version control and provisioning via a Telepresence Management Suite (TMS) for VTC CODECs.
- Installing flat panel displays, room based VTC endpoints, projectors, and A/V
- Accomplishing associated A/V and VTC troubleshooting, including touch panel control subsystems. Resolving issues down to the equipment level (black box).
- Managing, maintaining, and posting a daily MSL and shift change procedures to ensure proper information flow across shifts. This MSL shall provide a record of maintenance requirements, functions, and corrective actions taken.
- Documenting when deficient functions or operations are first discovered or reported, the exact time it was corrected, and when the service, function or operation was restored.
- Scheduling, configuring, and connecting users to DISA GVS and DVS
- Training designated personnel on the operation of VTC
- Maintaining COMSEC cleared personnel with COMSEC courier authorization and the ability to key USSOCOM’s secure VTCs.
- Participating in requirements discussions and developing roadmaps
- Partnering with Architects and Engineers (A&E) to develop designs
- Maintaining an in-depth technical and business knowledge of A/V and VTC industry directions and trends
- Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of industry standard A/V and VTC components and their associated installation practices
- Delivering integrated conference room, A/V and VTC solutions on schedule and with the highest quality
- Provide advice, guidance, and subject matter expertise to ensure that Government schedule, performance, and budget targets are met
- Providing support to operations and support teams, including root cause analysis when conference room A/V and VTC issues arise
- Coordinating and managing the design and installation of integrated commercial A/V and VTC solutions
- Integrating A/V and VTC systems in an enterprise environment
- Project management of Contractor A/V technicians and third-party A/V and VTC installation teams
- Defining standard installation guidelines for conference room A/V and VTC equipment
- Understanding the interface between conference room A/V and VTC equipment and video teleconferencing codecs
- Some positions may require shift work and/or an ability to work a non-standard work schedule to support the USSOCOM mission
Required qualifications:
- A DoD TS/SCI clearance is required
- At least five years of current experience designing, installing, and configuring integrated conference room A/V and VTC systems and experience in VTC endpoint maintenance.
- Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) OR Cisco Video Network Specialist OR Cisco Certified Specialist – Collaboration certification required
