Aviation Maintenance Technician (A&P)

BellAir, a Part 135 charter company, specializing in passenger charters with a fleet of jet and turboprop aircraft, has an immediate opening for an A&P Mechanic to join our growing operation. The successful candidate must be highly motivated, organized, and team-oriented, capable of providing first class customer service and care. A results-driven candidate with a history of strong performance will thrive. Performs troubleshooting, operational testing, modification, inspection and repair of aircraft systems, instrument, electrical, and electronic systems in accordance with company policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and specifications established by the FAA and Aircraft Manufacture.

Experience on at least one of the aircraft types in our fleet: CJ2, Encore, Excel, or Hawker 800XP would be preferred.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform all maintenance functions, including repair, modification, and replacement and effectively troubleshoot all aircraft and ground support equipment.
• Perform a wide variety of duties such as dismantling, overhauling, repairing, fabricating and assembling all parts of an aircraft, which includes airframe, engines, radio equipment, instruments, electrical systems, heating systems, cooling systems, and hydraulic systems.
• Read, understand, and utilize approved data such as FAA approved maintenance manuals, service bulletins, inspection checklists, and other related maintenance documentation to properly troubleshoot and repair aircraft.
• Properly complete documentation for any maintenance performed for aircraft return to service.
• Complete all assigned work in a timely manner, including the completion of all required documentation.
• Complete tasks according to FAA regulations, company policies and procedures, and instructions from Supervisors and Managers.
• Ensure the shop and work area are maintained safely and orderly.
• Attend all Company training classes and on-the-job training as assigned by the Facility Maintenance Manager.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Leadership.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Citation or Beechcraft experience preferred
• Previous experience troubleshooting and repairing aircraft as an A&P Mechanic
• Experience performing heavy maintenance checks
• Possess and maintain valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License
• Possess and maintain valid state driver's license
  
• Possess basic hand tools
• Maintain a professional appearance and attitude
• Exercise good judgment in working with people in a team environment
• Strong communication skills are required, both verbal and written
• Strong work ethic with reliability and dependability
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to complete work in a timely manner
• Ability to handle stress and interact with others to establish and maintain a positive and productive work environment
• Able to clearly speak, read and write in the English language
• Willing to work on-call, nights, and holidays
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and criminal background check
