Automovtive Assistant Service Manager

A well established, busy, and EXPANDING auto repair shop is hiring a Service Advisor/Assistant Manager. We are a family oriented, friendly small, neighborhood shop with an outstanding reputation in business since 1938. Join a GREAT AWARD-WINNING TEAM.

Service Advisor Responsibilities:

• Greeting customers.
• Answering the phone.
• Consulting with mechanics regarding necessary repairs and possible alternatives to expensive repairs.
• Answering questions about service outcomes and scheduling and booking appointments, vehicle drop-off, and vehicle pick-up.
• Managing and overseeing the shop’s workflow and schedule.
• Calling and speaking with customers regarding work needed on their vehicle. Discussing the job(s) and timeline for the work to be finished
• Calling customers to advise them about service changes (Such as delayed parts etc.) or car pick-up time.
• Maintaining positive customer relationships to ensure repeat business.
• Ensuring all details on services rendered and costs are communicated to customers and processing their payments.
• Liaising with service technicians about parts ordering and ensuring parts are available when needed. Keeping a workflow within the shop with the technicians – ex. Checking on progress of the job etc.
• Shuttle customers to and from home when needed.
• Parts run when needed.

Service Advisor Requirements:

• Experience in the automotive industry
• An understanding of automotive technology and the automotive industry.
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Strong organizational, decision making, and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to communicate with technicians, customers, and vendors.
• Must have a TEAM attitude.
• Must have a valid driver’s License.
• Must have own transportation.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
