Shop Dispatcher-Empire Chevrolet of HIcksville
Job Summary:
The shop dispatcher is the quarterback of any retail automotive service
operation. Scheduling work, promoting efficiency and productivity, and keeping
customers satisfied are keys to a dealership’s success. We will offer the right
shop dispatch candidate a generous pay plan, bonus structure on productivity and a secure future.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for promoting exceptional levels of shop efficiency and
productivity. - Responsible for doing all that is necessary for service customer
satisfaction. - Responsible for developing and maintaining effective communication
between the shop and parts department employees. - Responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly shop.
- Responsible for taking on whatever duties the service manager assigns.
Qualifications:
- At least two years of automotive dealership service department experience,
preferably as a service dispatcher, and preferably in a union shop. - A steady documentable job history and track record for success.
- Has fluent hands-on experience with Reynolds& Reynolds or CDK
dealer management systems. - Understands how to effectively load a service shop schedule.
- Can distribute work to technicians in an orderly and efficient manner.
- Can communicate well with all service, parts, and other dealership
employees. - Can continually be responsive to the needs and concerns of the service
manager and all service personnel. - Must pass prehire background, DMV, and drug assessments.
