Strosnider Chevrolet is seeking SALESPEOPLE for our Hopewell, Prince George County, location.

As a SALESPERSON, you will sell new and pre-owned vehicles on a volume-based commission pay plan, and be rewarded and held accountable for customer satisfaction standards.

Automotive SALES experience is not necessary at all. We will provide paid training for honest, determined, and motivated candidates. We are looking for professionals with a positive, growth mindset and the drive to succeed.

At Strosnider Chevrolet, we are on the road to selling 200+ cars a month, and we are looking for devoted team members to join in achieving massive success. We expect strong and abundant use of video, social media presence, and communication with customers. We will provide you the tools to create transformative growth habits as you help us maintain the positive image and integrity of our family run dealership.

This is a FULL-TIME position that has an expectation of about 45 hours a week. On Monday through Friday, you will work an alternating schedule of either 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM or 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. You will also be expected to work every other Saturday from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with a day off during the week.

What YOU will be doing as an AUTOMOTIVE SALESPERSON

  • Conduct all business in an ethical and professional manner.
  • Sell and deliver a minimum of 13 new and pre-owned vehicles per month.
  • Process paperwork in accordance with dealership policies.
  • Utilize dealership customer databases and follow-up systems.
  • Attend product and sales training courses regularly and daily morning training meetings.
  • Keep up to date on new products and services within the industry.
  • Maintain an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a prospect development system.
  • Maintain professional and respectful social media platforms and engage with customers through video methods, while posting daily through a set of provided post recommendations.
  • Satisfy the transportation needs of purchasers.
  • Approach, greet, and help or direct any customer who enters the dealership showroom or lot.
  • Assist customers in selecting a vehicle by asking questions and listening carefully to their responses.
  • Fully explain product performance, application, and benefits to prospects.
  • Describe all optional equipment available for customer purchase.
  • Offer test drives to all prospects.
  • Exhibit a high level of commitment to customer satisfaction, go the extra mile for your customers, and inform them of all of the benefits of the Strosnider Advantage.
  • Know and understand the federal, state, and local laws that govern retail auto sales.
  • Establish personal income goals that are consistent with dealership standards of productivity and devise a strategy to meet those goals.
  • Keep abreast of new products, features, accessories, etc., and their benefits to customers.
  • Know and understand equity and values and can explain depreciation to the customer.
  • Ensure that the sales manager has an opportunity to meet each customer.
  • Prepare sold vehicles for customer delivery prior to customer arrival.
  • Deliver vehicles to customers, ensuring that each customer understands the vehicle's operating features, warranty, and paperwork.
  • Introduce customers to service department personnel to emphasize the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available.
  • Schedule customers’ first service appointment.
  • Follow up on all post-delivery items, tag/title work, “we-owes” and special requests to be sure that all customer expectations are met.
  • Review and analyze actions at the end of each day, week, month, and year to determine how to better utilize time and plans more effectively.
  • Attend all sales and dealership meetings.
  • Maintain professional appearance and abide by the dress code.
  • Maintain or obtain a Virginia automotive sales license.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
