Automotive Parts Writer

Davey Coach Sales is the nation-wide leader in van and bus sales. We have an immediate opening for a Automotive Parts Writer in our ever growing office in Sedalia, CO. The main purpose of this position is to fulfill parts requests from the service shop’s Technicians and Service Writers as well as help receive, stock, and inventory incoming orders.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Monitor Parts email for incoming requests from service writers, and service technicians.
• Accurately quote price and availability based on current cost of parts and freight.
• Follow procedure when placing orders for parts request by properly filling out PO’s and placing orders with vendors.
• Follow up with all customers internal & external on status of shipping and accuracy in delivery.
• Ensure parts that are being ordered/fulfilled are added to the correct RO and distributed to the Technician/customer when delivered.
• Help receive orders being delivered for accuracy.
• Review shipping documents, and invoices for accuracy, and let the manager know of any shortages, or errors, so the manager may contact the vendor for credit or re-shipment.
• Help maintain a clean and organized parts warehouse, making sure inventory is stocked in the correct bins/shelves.
• Package items sold to retail customers, insuring proper packaging for safe shipping.
• Make shipping labels with correct shipping address, and report shipping cost on RO for proper billing.
• Perform an accurate physical inventory with Parts team on Inventory cycle.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required (unless otherwise noted):

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Must have basic computer Knowledge: (Excel, Word, etc.)
• Ability to work well under the pressure of meeting tight deadlines in a timely manner.
• Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.
• Ability to work on multiple projects while maintaining focus on details required for individual assignments.
• Strong interpersonal/internal customer service skills.
• Ability to handle a high volume of work, rapidly adapt to changing environment and possess strong work ethics.
• Valid Driver’s license with clean driving record

• Must be able to lift 50lbs daily.
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time throughout the day.
• Must be able to stand and walk frequently throughout the day on level and unlevel surfaces.
• Ability to work with shop equipment (i.e. fork lift, pallet jack, hand truck, pickup truck)
• Job will take you outside occasionally in various weather conditions.
• Periodically drive of site to pick up/or deliver products.
• Will need to load and unload trucks with deliveries, which entails, lifting, bending, stooping, twisting and crouching.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
