Automotive Parts Counterperson

We are seeking a detail-oriented, dependable and responsible Automotive Parts Counterperson.

This is a regular full-time position with full benefits. Required hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday – Friday

Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to):

• Look up parts & accessories using GM's Electronic Parts Catalog (EPC).

• Sell parts & accessories to customers (retail, wholesale & internal) in person, online and by phone.

• Bill out parts using Auto/Mate's Dealership Managment System (DMS).

• Conduct physical bin counts to verify computer inventory accuracy.

• Notify customers when their special ordered parts are received.

• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area

• Provide additional support as determined by management

Skills & Knowledge Requirements (include, but are not limited to):

• Previous similar Parts Counterperson experience preferred (Automotive, Marine, RV, Agriculture Equipment, Powersports, etc.)

• Strong attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Ability to read and follow written and spoken instructions in English.

• Excellent Computer operating skills (Windows, Word, Excel & Outlook).

• Thorough Automotive Mechanical knowledge.

• Understanding of inventory management & basic math skills

• Ability to lift up to 75lbs

• Reliable transportation & the ability to work the required schedule

• High School Diploma or the equivalent

• Valid & clean NYS Driver’s License

• Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug test*
