Automotive Parts Counter Person / Parts Runner

BMW of Darien is looking to hire an Automotive Parts Counter Person / Parts Runner to join our team in Darien, CT!

This is an entry level position, perfect for someone who has prior experience working at an Auto Parts store or an automotive dealership!

Responsibilities:

. Assist with putting stocking shelves.

. Pickup / deliver parts to other location.

. Maintain department housekeeping.

· Assists customers in selecting requested parts in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner. As well as providing knowledge of companion part requirements.

· Answers phone calls, provides price quotes and other information.

· Provides a high level of service to internal and external customers.

· Notifies the service advisor and the customer when special orders have been received.

· Organizes orders making sure all parts are tagged with customer names and job numbers.

· Sets up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.

· Participates in all training programs that are made available.

· Keeps current on new products and product updates.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Prior automotive experience preferred

· Dealership Experience preferred but not required

· Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information

· Excellent communication skills

· Current Drivers License.

· Able to work in a fast-paced work environment

· Have strong organizational, multitasking and time management skills.

· Detail-oriented

· Great communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

• 8 hour shift

• Rotating weekends
