We are a used car dealership in Stockton, CA looking for an Automotive Mechanicto join our team! You will be responsible for repairing various vehicles and transmission systems.
Responsibilities:
- Performing assigned work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership standards
- Diagnosing the cause of malfunctions and performing repairs.
- Repair automobiles
- Specialize in vehicle transmission systems
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance
- Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components
- Routine inspections and maintenance (i.e replacing spark plugs, ignition wires, thermostat,, etc)
- Section 609 certification is a plus
- Keep shop and work area clean
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a mechanic at least 5+ years
- Knowledge of shop equipment
- Must have a valid California Drivers License
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Lift to 50 pounds unassisted and operate hoist and test equipment
