JOB SUMMARY
200+ volume family-owned dealership, located in NH/VT area in need of a General Manager to bring newly renovated facility to its full potential. The General Manager will report to the Chief Operating Officer/Dealer Principal and assume a strategic role for overseeing dealership operating activities. This position must lead by example, develop an engaged team that is committed to providing the highest level of customer service while promoting our organization as the dealership and employer of choice. Must have at least 5 years of experience as a General Manager/GSM in a Franchise Automotive Dealership
Essential Functions and Principal Accountabilities
- Direct supervisory responsibility over all department managers. Work in conjunction with the Leadership Team to meet the goals of the department’s monthly forecast and plan.
- Studies local market conditions, demographics, and past sales history. Makes recommendations to Executive Management regarding short- and long-range advertising plans, sales promotions, staffing needs, and lease promotions.
- Participates in the preparation of the annual dealership forecast by projecting unit sales, gross profits, expenses, and operating profits for all departments.
- Creates systems that ensure ongoing sales training, including weekly sales meetings.
- Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and maximize profitability.
- Manage inventory control to optimize stock levels and minimize losses.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, including budgeting and cost control.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Work in conjunction with the Leadership Team on any personnel, legal, safety or policy issues that arise and resolve in a timely fashion so as not to have any impact to ongoing operations.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $250,000.00 - $350,000.00 per year
