Job description

*Job Summary:*
Carter Chevrolet is seeking an experienced Automotive Controller to join our team in Okarche, Oklahoma. This is a full-time, salary position in the Accounting and Finance department of our auto dealership. As an individual contributor, the Automotive Controller will play a crucial role in managing and overseeing the financial operations of the dealership. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled finance professional to join a fast-paced and growing auto dealership.

*Responsibilities:*
- Oversee and manage all financial aspects of the dealership, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls to ensure compliance with company and industry regulations
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports to provide insights and identify areas for improvement
- Develop and maintain relationships with banks and other financial institutions
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Manage inventory accounting and reconciliation
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy of financial operations
- Train and supervise accounting staff
- Participate in the annual budgeting process and provide financial guidance to department managers
- Other duties as assigned by management
*Requirements:*
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Controller in the auto industry or a related field
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficient in MS Office and accounting software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Willingness to work flexible hours as needed
