Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patients' needs
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the doctor
- Perform venipuncture and collect laboratory specimens
- Document patient care services by charting in electronic medical records (EMR) system such as Athenahealth
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, medications, and treatments
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient care
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean working environment
- Adhere to professional standards, ethical guidelines, and legal requirements
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of occupational health standards and practices
- Proficient in providing comprehensive patient care across different age groups, from family planning to senior care
- Skilled in performing venipuncture and collecting laboratory specimens for diagnostic testing
- Familiarity with ICD-10 coding system for accurate documentation and billing purposes
- Ability to collaborate effectively with doctors and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Athenahealth
- Competent in performing specialized procedures like spinal taps
