The Opportunity:
When a user tries new software, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. Functionality, reliability, and user experience are key to successful software development – and that means rigorous testing. That’s why we need you, an experienced test engineer who knows how to thoroughly test software and work with developers to make sure our team releases the best software possible.
As a test engineer on our team, you’ll use your experience to work with testers, developers, and engineers to develop a solution that will be used to support our Veteran’s using Pega. You’ll build a test plan with test cases based on user stories. Using automated and manual processes, you’ll generate data and execute the test cases to see how the software performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the tool. You’ll automate continuous security and performance testing and monitor health of generally as part of an established DevOps Pipeline. This is an opportunity to supercharge your skills by writing the code to test the code using opensource tools like Selenium WebDriver.

You Have:
4+ years of experience with test automation tools, open source, and COTS test automation frameworks
2+ years of experience with Agile methodologies
Experience with supporting applications deployed in a Mobile environment
Experience with Pega 8.x
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of experience with functional testing, regression testing, performance testing, 508 testing, or system integration testing, supporting user acceptance testing or 7+ years of experience with functional testing, regression testing, performance testing, 508 testing, or system integration testing, supporting user acceptance testing in lieu of a degree

Ability to work independently and on diverse teams
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to adapt in a fast–paced and changing environment
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
Possession of excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills
Bachelor’s degree in CS or Computer Engineering preferred

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,300.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
