Job Description:
Must Have:
- Familiarity or Experience in Banner ERP Systems
- 3+ years' Experience with enterprise job scheduling solutions (preferably Automic formerly called AppWorx)
- Uses skills and knowledge of Workload Automation /Batch applications to plan and coordinate the activities related to running Production/QA/Development environments.
- Works with the Development and Business Systems teams to implement complex Workload Automation/Batch application maintenance type enhancements
- At least 2-3 years of experience managing batch applications in a production environment - including UNIX / LINUX (Red Hat) and Microsoft technologies.
- Basic experience Automating and scripting (Shell, Bash, Perl, PowerShell)
- Look for improvement opportunities and areas for automation, including writing scripts to facilitate consistent and repeatable execution of recurring batch processes.
- Identify opportunities for training to assist in developing Operations Center colleagues in their nightly batch monitoring and overall knowledge.
- Create, update and maintain batch schedule documentation to support efficient operational and audit requirements.
- Provide Level 2 troubleshooting of business applications and software - including problem analysis, support for complex production systems and applications, ensuring availability for all users.
Other Requirements:
- Provide expert knowledge of the applications used by the Operations Center to facilitate performance improvements.
- Maintains Workload Automation/Batch Metrics for enterprise monitoring.
- Basic to advance knowledge and troubleshoot TCP/IP routing, basic network principles.
- Basic to advanced knowledge of SQL and SQL queries
- Prepare and complete audit requests for batch applications and schedules to demonstrate compliance.
- Mentor and assist in training Computer Operators on established procedures where needed.
- Provides 24-hour on-call support for problem analysis and resolution to system problems on a rotational
- Complete other projects and duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Information Technology, or comparable technical discipline preferred. (Workload Automation /Batch consultant, and Release Management Capabilities)
- Experience with operational tools pertaining to monitoring, backing up and scheduling batch jobs.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve simple/complex problems associated with batch operational defects and batch job schedules.
- Excellent oral/written communications skills. Ability to discuss technical issues with non-technical audiences
- Strong Knowledge of best practices regarding Workload Automation.
- Knowledge of service configuration (SSL, SFTP, password management, access restrictions.)
- Ability to work well in a team environment and complete assigned tasks on time and independently.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to learn new information quickly.
- Highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative with minimal supervision
- Enthusiastic learner, ready to meet challenges and quickly assimilate new concepts.
- Experience with Azure DevOps
- Knowledge of software automation programmatic interface technologies such as RESTful web services and JSON

Salary: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
