Synerfac is seeking an Automation Engineering Technician for our client in Phillipsburg, KS. Our client has been a national leading manufacturer of residential roofing shingles for more than 75 years.
As an Automation Engineering Technician, your main responsibility is to evaluate and enhance current manufacturing systems, specifically focusing on the reliability of electrical and control systems in machinery that deals with abrasive materials. You will also play a crucial role in improving control loop capability and managing projects for the installation of enhancements. The job involves working closely with a team of Engineers, Operations, and Maintenance representatives to quickly address and resolve issues to ensure smooth production.
Essential Job Functions:
- Evaluate and improve manufacturing systems exposed to abrasive materials.
- Enhance control loop capability.
- Act as a project manager for the installation of improvement projects.
* Write project specifications for vendor bids and develop project scopes.
* Provide project justification and cost-benefit analysis when required.
- Collaborate with a team to resolve problems and promote production uptime.
- Experience in Servo and Variable Frequency Drives, PLC programming and tuning (Siemens preferred), PID controls, and programming.
