POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Coach is responsible for assisting in all aspects of the program, including but not limited to recruiting, training, monitoring academic progress, promotions, and coaching team members. The Assistant Coach is required to abide by the rules and regulations established by Benedictine College, the Heart of America Athletic Conference (Heart) and the NAIA.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assisting with all aspects of the coaching and management of the football program year round,
- Recruiting and scouting in accordance with the NAIA, Heart and Benedictine College policies and procedures,
- Train and coach members of the program,
- Supporting the academic and personal development of all athletes,
- Visible, fully integrated member of the College community,
- Manage and assist in training the linebackers,
- Partcipate in all staff meetings,
- Assist with all JV and Freshman games with additional staff members,
- Assist weight room for in season and winter training,
- Assist with care and maintenance of the footbal facilities,
- Responsible for complying with the rules and regulations of the NAIA as it relates to the program,
- Represent Benedictine College and the program in a professional manner,
- Responsible for being a proponent of the NAIA Champions of Character Program, and
- Duties as assigned the the head Football Coach.
